📝Reporting Questions

What happens when I report a player?

When you report a player, your report is added to our community database. Other users can search for the player and see all reports made against them, including your comments and any video evidence provided.

Important: Reports do NOT result in game bans, VAC bans, or any official penalties. This is purely a community information system.

Can I report the same player multiple times?

No, you can only submit one report per player. This prevents spam and maintains database quality. If you encounter the same cheater again, you cannot submit another report.

Tip: Make your first report comprehensive and detailed since you can't submit additional ones.

Are comments required when reporting?

Yes, comments are mandatory for all reports. Your comment should include:

  • • Type of cheating observed (wallhack, aimbot, spinbot, etc.)
  • • Match details (map, game mode, approximate time)
  • • Specific suspicious behaviors you witnessed
  • • How long you observed the behavior

Quality comments help other community members understand the threat level and make informed decisions.

Can I edit my report after submitting it?

Currently, reports cannot be edited after submission. You can delete your current comment and create a newer.

What video evidence can I submit?

Video evidence is optional, but if provided, it must be a YouTube link only. We accept:

✅ Accepted

  • • youtube.com/watch?v=...
  • • youtu.be/...
  • • Public videos only
  • • Videos showing suspicious behavior

❌ Not Accepted

  • • Twitch clips
  • • Private/unlisted videos
  • • Other video platforms
  • • Irrelevant footage

🔎Search and Database Questions

How do I search for a player?

You can search for players using several methods:

  • Steam Profile URL: Most accurate method
  • Steam ID64: Precise identification
  • Player Name: May return multiple results

What information can I see about reported players?

For each reported player, you can view:

  • • All reports submitted by different users
  • • Comments describing suspicious behavior
  • • Video evidence (if provided)
  • • Total number of reports
  • • Dates when reports were submitted
  • • Steam profile information

Can other players see who reported them?

Currently, reporter identities are visible with reports. We're considering making this optional in future updates based on community feedback.

How often is the database updated?

The database updates in real-time. New reports appear immediately after submission, and searches always show the most current information available.

⚖️Fairness and Accuracy Questions

What if someone reports me falsely?

If you believe you've been falsely reported:

  • • Provide evidence that the report is false
  • • We investigate all abuse reports
  • • False or baseless reports may be removed after review
  • • Moderators can delete nonsensical comments or those with fake evidence

Remember: Legitimate skilled players should have few or no reports. Multiple reports from different users usually indicate actual cheating.

How do you prevent false reports?

We have several measures in place:

  • • One report per user per player limit
  • • Mandatory detailed comments
  • • Community moderation and reporting
  • • Investigation of reported abuse
  • • Removal of clearly false reports

Do you verify reports before publishing them?

No, we do not verify reports before they appear in the database. RepaCheater relies on community self-moderation and the assumption that multiple independent reports indicate actual cheating behavior.

This is why detailed comments and video evidence are so important - they help other users assess the credibility of reports.

What should I do if I encounter a reported player in-game?

Finding someone on RepaCheater doesn't guarantee they're cheating, but it suggests caution:

  • • Read the reports and comments carefully
  • • Look for patterns in multiple reports
  • • Check if video evidence supports the claims
  • • Make your own judgment about continuing the match
  • • Consider dodging the queue if there are many credible reports

Just go to your profile, find the comment you want to remove, and click the delete option.

Are reports public?

Yes, all reports are publicly visible on the platform. Anyone can search for a player and see reports made against them. This transparency is essential for the community-driven nature of RepaCheater.
